Edinburgh PhotoWalk 18th November, 2017.

This is my 3rd Edinburgh Photowalk, unlike previous ones, from now on, my Photowalk will focus on Street Photography only.

The theme for this photowalk is “shadows”, unfortunately the sun appeared in the morning before we started the Photowalk and reappeared 30 minutes before the walk ended, luckily me and Pamela were at the right place and the right time, we spotted a dapple light and decided to get closer, precomposed, set the camera and waited for a subject to come. After some attempts, this is my best one for the “shadow theme”.

We do have other options for the day which is “portraits”. Again, at the right time and the right place we were stopped by this man in front of a cat hotel which ended by talking about his long beard which is very useful at Christmas time for becoming Santa, while he was talking to us I took his pictures and here it is:

In the middle of our walk, there was no sun to be seen, but I saw an interesting subject with her hand gesture at the window:

At the beginning of the Photowalk, I spent about 20-30 minutes for some introduction, and engagement discussions for us to get to know each other a little bit.

I hope everyone had a great time yesterday, we finished the walk at The Jake place that was full because of the rugby but somehow we managed to squeeze in to the corner and get warmed up with some refreshments.

Janie in action!
Stuck in the corner
We aren’t moving anywhere, cosy corner! Talking about Cuba and other places to visit.

  1. Gorgeous images, Ami….love the shadows one …so atmospheric and lovely composition, and I love the window shot of the girl and her look and expression, as usual, you’re images speak volumes, not only do you talk the talk on Street Photography…..you walk the walk…!!….these images show your street tradecraft and how you get out there and practice, practice and practice what you preach…a lesson to us all☺️
